Cruisin' with Nev

A few cool pix, family events, notes and observations from some of my travels around Australia, Papua New Guinea, various islands, and New Zealand. You can find more pictures on my Panoramio page - http://www.panoramio.com/user/182012. The camera is getting a little dated now but its still great - a Sony DSC-F828. There is usually something here for family, work-mates and friends to enjoy, and share or comment on some of my observations. Don't forget to post a comment before you leave.

New car FUN

New cars on the Thomas patch current have our attention with both of us finding any and every excuse to go for a spin. Dianne has a brand new Holden Astra, 60th Anniversary Edition, and I stepped into an ex demo Holden Epica (5 months old with 6.4k on the clock). That saved me about $10k or roughly 30% of the RRP plus on road costs straight up which I'm pretty happy with. I managed to resist the temptation to go for an off-road, all-terrain, SUV, 4WD, AWD, gas guzzling pose vehicle. The Epica is very conservative, comfortable, well built, affordable, economical (7.9l / 100km) and yet it still has the power that goes with a 6 cylinder, 2.5 l engine. No it is not the diesel version Holden is currently advertising. It is the only 6 cyl. East West configuration I'm aware of and it is as smooth as silk.

Don't forget to click on the photos to get a large version for close inspection.
